Additional Logitech G9 Laser Mouse Information

With the corded G9 mouse, gamers can enjoy interchangeable grips, on-the-fly dpi switching ranging from 200 dpi to 3200 dpi, full-speed USB laser tracking, an onboard-memory profiling system, weight tuning, a custom-color LED and the hyper-fast MicroGear Precision Scroll Wheel, which was introduced last year and is exclusive to Logitech. To help gamers get the best fit, the Logitech G9 mouse features a wealth of customizable features, including two interchangeable grips: Wide-Load grip and Precision grip. Designed to deliver comfort even during the longest gaming sessions, the Wide-Load grip provides a fuller shape and soft-touch, satin feel, while the Precision grips DryGrip technology and compact shape offer fingertip control and a surer handle for any hand. For an even more comfortable feel, the G9 mouse allows for customized weight tuning and weight distribution. The innovative weight-tuning system enables gamers to choose from among hundreds of weight settings by inserting up to four additional weights in the mouses weight tray, adding up to a maximum of 28 grams. In total, gamers can choose from eight additional weights. Using the new Logitech SetPoint software, gamers can create a number of profiles for their mouse. And with the mouses onboard memory, gamers can take their personalized settings anywhere - its no longer necessary to install SetPoint software on the gaming rig every time a gamer changes computers. Instead, up to five profiles - including specified keyboard macros, dpi settings and LED color settings - can be stored on the mouse for on-the-go gaming. Unlike other gaming mice that offer a range of 400 dpi to 2000 dpi, the G9 mouse can be shifted on the fly to up to 3200 dpi for faster, more precise cursor movements, or down to as low as 200 dpi for games that require pixel-precise control. A full-speed USB connection delivers up to 1,000 reports per second for smooth tracking without cursor lag Finally, the G9 laser mouse features the Micro

What Customers Say About Logitech G9 Laser Mouse:

It is one of the best mouses in the market today. The features of it are very useful and handy.

I wanted to get a comfortable mouse (considering my large hand) mostly for gaming and daily use as well. I was doing research and going to stored feeling different mouses for almost two weeks.

I am absolutely happy with it and have seen no flaw so far. I finally narrowed it down to two choices: this G9 and Razer Mamba.

Needless to say that Razer Mamba is too expensive (at least for me) so I thought I would try G9. I'm a very picky person and I can't think of any cons to say, well, it could be wireless but it wouldn't have that precision then.

Get yours and enjoy.

It doesnt have as much as the G500 but sufficient and the overall feel is alot better I would have given it ten stars if there was an option. So any logitech product that you buy is an excellent product from personal experience.

I just recieved mine in the mail today. I had alot of trouble deciding on the G9 and the G9x but after reading a few other reviews the only difference is the dpi setting and alot on the price.

I just want to say that this is a great product. The only reason I switched from the G500 is that I have small children and they seem to have misplaced the device that holds the weights.

Do yourself a favor and save a few dollars and buy this product. I have been a long time user of the G500 and still love that mouse but I have to say I am very impressed overall.

If your a gamer and love FPS like myself than give it a try It has a great feel and perfect weight adjustment. All I have left to say is GREAT.

Great mouse. Microgear scroll wheel is excellent. Extremely sensitive and accurate on every surface I've tried. Interchangable grips are nice. Weights are more than just a gimmick. It's hard to imagine someone being disappointed with this product.

But in order to change that setting the mouse needs to be turned over and a button on the bottom needs to be engaged. As I've grown used to it, I find I do like the shape and layout. The G9 does not follow the standard mouse shape. Overall it is a good mouse, and price wise better than most in its price range. The scroll wheel has in addition to up/downd and push buttons that are programmable, can also rock left and right. I find them to be positioned well and not undersized like many available.

For someone with large hands such as myself it's the first mouse I've used that actually fits comfortably. The larger (and I mean Larger) grip has a smooth satin finish and is aproxamatly 1/2" wider than the small grip. The smaller grip has a textured surface that actually feels better in hand than the large grip. Why they have different surface textures I can't begin to imagine. First thig to catch the eye is the shape. DPI is adustable from 400-3200 DPI and can be set at 4 pre-programed settings that can be toggled from the top of the mouse. This makes it easy to change on the fly, and with an LED readout you can check your setting at a glance.

These buttons are a bit sensitive however. The scroll can also be adjusted from clicks to free spinning. I love this feature as it makes the mouse feel much more controlable during gaming. The mouse comes with 2 interchangeable grips. No changing on the fly like can be done with the G500.

This mouse also has an adjustable weight system. The slide plates are low drag and movement is precise and easy. There are 2 more programmable buttons under the right thumb. I still prefer the Logitech G500, but the G9 does run a close 2nd.

I loved this mouse. I started to look over the mouse and realized that where the cord goes into the inside of mouse was hanging out. This is from 7 months of off and on use a few hours a night. The cord. It was never dropped and I always babied it since I did spend a lot on it and in the end it just fell apart. I used this mouse an average of 3 hours a day over 7 months. I have no complaints about it except for one. The wires literally fell apart and the cord slipped out most of the way from the the inside of the mouse.

At first the outer cloth shell of the cord started to fray in a few spots but it didnt bother me because it worked like a champ. Then one day I went to use it and it stopped working. The cheap mouse that came with my computer holds up better then this mouse did. Fix the crappy cord and I would easily say its the best mouse I ever had because it was while it still worked.
